Oh, those poor fish.
I dawned on me, after taking several pictures of a critter the other day, that they don't seem to blink at all when the strobe light goes off in their face. Scorpionfish don't react at all, while other fish will take it for a while then get tired of it and swim away. Even the Shrimp don't flinch when the strobe fires. I keep expecting a reaction like Nemo's dad when he ran into the photographer on the reef. I don't know much about fish physiology, but they must not be affected by sudden bright flashes. Fish and other critters must really hate weekends when all the photographers swarm down on them. If I start to see fish wearing sunglasses, I'll know why.
